Beginner Course

We use Scratch to help kids explore the world of programming. Scratch is a coding language for kids made by MIT, designed to introduce young learners to the world of programming in a fun and engaging way. Scratch uses a block-based approach that allows children to create interactive stories, games, and animations without the need for complex syntax. It empowers kids to explore coding concepts while fostering creativity and collaboration.

Students will understand fundamental programming concepts in a fun and engaging way by making their own games and animations with Scratch.

What Will Students Learn:

  • Basic Coding Concepts: Students will explore essential programming ideas such as loops, conditionals, and events. These concepts form the foundation for more advanced coding skills in the future.
  • Creative Problem-Solving: As they design their games and animations, students will encounter challenges that require critical thinking. They will learn to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions.
  • Project Management: From brainstorming ideas to finalizing their projects, students will develop skills in planning, organization, and execution. They will learn to break tasks into manageable steps.
  • Collaboration and Feedback: Through sharing their projects with classmates, students will practice giving and receiving constructive feedback. This collaborative environment fosters teamwork and communication skills.
  • Art and Design: Students will have the opportunity to express their creativity by designing characters, backgrounds, and sounds. This artistic aspect makes coding more relatable and enjoyable.
